History of Niigata TLO
2001 Nov. 16 Niigata TLO Inc. was founded with the capital of 12.5 million J. Yen in the Faculty of Engineering of Niigata University.
Tsuyoshi Tsutsui was appointed as the first president.
Dec. 25 Authorized as Approved TLO

2003 Dec. 15 Opened its satellite office in the Bandaijima Building

2004 Jun. Yoji Yuki was appointed as President of Niigata TLO Inc.

2005 Mar. 11
Held a seminar with two lecturers (80 attendants):
  • "Proposals for the better relationships between Niigata Prefecture and China"
  • "Arteriosclerosis and Angiogenesis Technology"
May. 24 Concluded the Collaboration Agreement with Niigata University
Nov. 22 Concluded the Collaboration Agreement with Nagaoka University of Technology

2006 Jan. 13 Increased the capital to 50 million J. Yen
Jun. 11 Received the Award of Mnister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology for its outstanding contributions to the development of the Quick Hydrogen Gas Sensor and the transfer of university seeds to promote innovation
Sep. 15 Increased the paid-in capital to 70 million J. Yen by receiving investments from Niigata University (100 shares/ 5 million Yen) and Niigata Institute of Technology (40 shares/2 million Yen)

2007 Feb. 1 Concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Center for Rural Regional Development and Governance - SUNY Fredonia
Mar. 8 The Quick Hydrogen Gas Sensor (Invented by Dr. Harada of Niigata University) was selected as one of the "100 Innovations from Academic Research to Real World Application" in the 2007 Edition of the Better World Project published by AUTM, Association of University Technology Managers
